Located in San Ignacio, located at 55 º 35'long. West and at 26 º 17'lat. South, with an area of 78 hectares.
It was created by Provincial Law Nº 2876, in order to protect an interesting outcrop of singular value, its natural caves provide shelter for numerous species of bats. It has a folkloric value - historical - cultural that has inspired the writer Horacio Quiroga.
The geological origin is different from the rest of the ground missions. There in the temporary streams that drain into the river Paraná and Yabebiry. As for the vegetation, this is a transition zone between mixed forests and fields district also encompasses a small portion of the forest environment of the Rio Paraná marginal. This also affects in the presence of wildlife species that move from one environment to another always looking for that is most appropriate to their basic biological needs, feeding, breeding and shelter.
